Fritillaries

This is one of my favourite spring flowers. We got back last night and today noticed a huge change in the garden. The magnolia is in full flower, daffodils are out, the wisteria is budding up nicely, fruit trees are in blossom and my few fritillaries are in full bloom.
And the ducks have played havoc in the pond while I have been away and not on duck patrol. But we have lots of tadpoles and there has been both frog and toad spawn. Spring is definitely sprung ---- but it is cold.
I feel there might be a few garden blips to come this week but I don't really apologise as it is my favourite time in the garden. All my tomato plants survived and my dahlias are poking through.
And my son and his partner have just got teaching jobs in Malasia so they are very chuffed, and so am I ,as it means we can visit a part of the world I have never been to. Yippee!
