Bedside Manner

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Caro has had a cold all week. Fortunately that is all it is, and she is now on the path to recovery. I'm very relieved.

Her RA medication suppresses her immune system, you see. So when she gets cold now, it is much worse than previously*.

So I've made her heaps of Lemsips and hot drinks and all her favourite foods. And she's had all her favourite telly.

And Jasper has been keeping her company. Here he is, draped over the arm of the couch. But honestly, he's been at arm's length the whole time she has been sick.

As have I. But definitely arm's length. I don't want the cold EITHER.

* If she SHOULD catch covid, she has to come off the anti-RA drugs immediately and go on a course of anti-virals. A bloke at work whose wife also has it made her bounce back much faster than him. So it's not as scary as you might think.
