Magic

This morning my niece Georgia said ‘hi’ on video. It was cute. She was also eating the corner of anything she could find. When she put her feet in her mouth, I did the same, and I think she was impressed.

My stuff arriving this week meant I could use my coffee plunger and lounge around all morning. This was the scene, with Magic Bean coffee from the Ruvuma region in the south of Tanzania, where my work focuses, and a dash of Kilimanjaro honey.

I was the first occupant of the new block being constructed by the owner of the compound Rhoda (or Madam Rhoda as the staff like to call her). Tonight I returned back and was introduced to the second, my new neighbour, a South Sudanese man working with their embassy. I hope we’ll become pals.
