New acquisition

Joseph  Crawhall’s A Mallard Rising was on display in the Burrel for the first time today, the Trustees having finally managed to acquire it 77 years after William Burrell tried and failed. It is astonishing, I can’t imagine how the artist was able to capture all the nuances of colour as the duck rises from the water and takes flight.
That was this afternoon. Earlier I did another Parkrun and was persuaded to enter the GSR 10k in early October.
Alexander has been here today in between shifts and call outs with EMRS which has been nice, and we FaceTimed the others at breakfast.
An indoor swim and sauna this evening. I’m sure the water temperature has been reduced, it only just a bit warmer than the Teith, but a lot less exciting.
