MrP’s Big Day Out

And a bit of a damp, overcast one. But, being no stranger to cliche, let me say here that it didn’t dampen my spirits one bit. Or one iota, even. First stop Rock ’n’ Roll Politics (indeed, such a groovy title…) to see the ever wonderful Steve Richards. A Liz Truss special, no less! Strong opinions, lightly held as AJP Taylor said of himself.
On to BrewLab to sit awhile and read clever stuff, before Flight at Potterow. A terrific little (20 minutes) experience. Though not half as scary as people are making out. Then another coffee and the final show of MrP’s carefully created kulturfest. Fiona Paterson, Alan Riach & James Robertson: Hugh MacDiarmid Centenary at the Book Festival. Although CM Grieve was born in 1892, he first used the pen name Hugh MacDiarmid in 1922 y’see.
And saving the best till last.. back home…. House of the Dragon!
