Points of View

After the skipper had served up coffees and lorne sausage rolls to the groggy crew we went a-rambling down to the south of the island. It’s a fascinating place, but also one of the most ugly. The MOD ought to clear their bloody detritus and it could do with a few predators too. I think our local foxes could be better employed keeping down the rabbit population, and thereby allowing a bit of vegetation, than ripping our bin bags. And as for the disgusting seabirds, they could get back to proper roosting on picturesque and inaccessible cliffs rather than sitting about shitting everywhere. 
Then it was time to head off - round the back past Herwit and then a close reach all the way to Granton. Terrific fun. I slept well after that, I can tell you.
