Coke’n’crisps needed
A peaceful two-dog night. Luckily, Archie wasn’t having one of his restless nights, of which he’s had a few lately.
JR took them out before she went to the gym, and I took them out for a big walk later. JR met her ex-colleagues for lunch at McLarens.
I decided to walk to the ‘feather shop’ I’d found on a Google search - not far away. In fact, a road (lane) we walk along regularly, and have never see a ‘feather shop’. The day looked ominous, but no rain eventuated, and in fact it was very warm.
I got right along the lane to the pub, and had to go in and ask where the feather shop was. Yes - it’s on top of the garage. Duh! Up the driveway, and a tiny wee sign announced its presence. Up a big load of stairs, I shouted up to the man at the top ‘You’re very hard to find!’ He laughed. Then, as I staggered up, gasping, ‘I need a seat!’ He laughed again.
However, he didn’t want our four huge feather cushions, so I’ll stick ‘em on Freecycle.
I was so hot’n’bothered I then went back along to the pub for a cold drink before walking home. It took us absolutely ages! Two male dogs are very slow with double the sniffing and piddling, although one of them (Archie) is much worse than the other. Not that I’m fast!!
I was SOOOO tired when I got home (6,446 steps) which doesn’t sound that much, but for me it is. So I flopped on the sofa and watched the cricket for the rest of the afternoon.
It’s quite funny having two dogs. There’s constant competition to sit on my lap. Much handier when JR is also home - we have one lapdog each.
Pip’s dad is coming soon to take him home, and he’ll come back here tomorrow morning.
