Diary of an Edinburgher

Cricket

JR collected Pip up from his house this morning, and then went off to the gym. It was raining, so she took the car. It cleared up later, but JR is always itching to get her step count up if she misses her walk to the gym. She made it to 10,000 steps this afternoon.

The sun came out later, so we took the dogs to the cemetery, and when JR went off to get her eyes tested, the boys and I watched the cricket. I’ve really been enjoying this ‘Hundred’ tournament, with eight teams playing each other at different venues, almost every day. The teams are a mixture of players, several Aussies and Kiwis, over here for the summer. Cricket is a great game - and the women’s game is just as entertaining as the men’s one. It wasn’t an option when I was young and sporty quite keen on sport (a very long time ago).

I popped the unwanted feather sofa cushions on Freecycle, and someone is coming tomorrow to pick them up, with a second person lined up if they don’t turn up. Great.
