Changing scene
After all the welcome rain yesterday the trees in the St Ives Estate woods, seen here from our bedroom window, were shrouded in mist at 8.30 this morning. 10 minutes later it was lifting but although quite muggy and warm there was still dampness in the air when my friend and I set off to Pilates in the village at 10.30. ( Chris said it was the same when he set out for a walk around Goit Stock at 11.00)
Sun came and went a bit through the morning and over lunch which we had at Stephen Smith’s Garden Centre cafe.
By the time we came home it was quite hot and sultry and the blue skies were back - bottom shot taken at 3.30.
Pleased as all my washing that was soaked by the rain yesterday has dried and I’ve been able to put out the towels and bedding now washed from last week’s visitors.
Still summer but the season of mists is on it’s way!
