False Autumn

Despite the sunny weather, the pool was surprisingly quiet this morning and we managed 20 lengths without any ducking and diving.

This afternoon we prepared 6lbs of apples for the freezer, the contents of one of the boxes in yesterday’s blip.

After that we took a walk on Street Hill where there was plenty of evidence of the false Autumn. Apart from tricking the trees into changing colour and dropping their leaves early, the lack of rain has meant that the apples are much smaller this year, though there are still lots of them.
