In His Element …
… with backdrop of the Géant on the left, one of the hardest peaks in the Alps, and the Pain de Sucre on the right much closer to us. This young male bouquetin (more of him in extras) is on Petit Mont Mort, a peak I had never climbed before. Swisspiper spotted him and called me up to where she was “communing” with him. We were completely alone on the mountain yet on the other side of the valley you could see a line of people going up to the Point de Drône. You can see the “interesting” terrain we were walking/climbing in extra too. A fantastic mountain route, away from the crowds around the Grand St. Bernard Pass, and very windy!
Thanks for the love and many “almost shocked” comments on yesterday’s Lady bouquetin.
