Beauty is all around us.

Green carpet for a red boat.

The Feast Day of Saint Helena.
I have been busy getting in my morning walk and trying to achieve 6,000 steps, which experts say are the most significant part of fitness exercise.
Still some way to go, as I am only up to 4900 steps. I did 11000 plus yesterday. That is more than an average walk for me.
I had a chat with Patricia as we watched her house front being painted Oatmeal. There are many shades of cream paint, and it is making the terraced house look brighter. Hopefully it can be completed before the expected rain this afternoon. I went to post a birthday card. The eldest nephew in our family was born in 1985, and that makes him 37 on 21st August.
I saw him when he was 2 days old. How the years have flown.
Well, enjoy today blip friends and make some great memories.
Thanks for visiting today.
I have been down to the canal and taken a different angle of Kevin's narrowboat that I posted yesterday. It shows more detail of all the logs and essentials carried on the roof of the boat. It is not the idyllic life I used to once imagine it to be. The energy crisis and climate change has added to the issues that need solving. He is stuck there due to the low level of the canal water. The Canal and River Trust need more funding and  people need better awareness of the maintenance of a  200 year old Victorian waterway structure.
There are many sites on the Leeds Liverpool currently closed due to essential repairs.
Before the thunder and rain come, I  took a few flower and tree photos I may use later in the week if needed.
It is so much better temperature wise. 19c outdoors with a cold breeze. 21.5c indoors.
