We have wifi

We have wifi. Yay!! You have absolutely no idea how happy my human is. A very nice man called Jack arrived about 11am, did a few checks and then said, 'Yes, there's definitely a fault on the line'. And off he went to check a few things in various 'manholes' outside. Apparently our cable/wire/whatever, was completely corroded. But not only that............... he didn't think that any of the cables/wires/whatever, had been replaced since the flats were built and they were built in 1961?!

He said it would be easy to fix our problem, it would take about an hour (two if it were complicated) and were we OK to be around for a couple of hours. Ann was so pleased that our wifi was getting fixed that she said she could be around for the rest of her life. Though actually, she couldn't, because she was booked to do a 'Meet & Greet' this afternoon.

Anyway, as the 'very lovely Jack', was going to be working outside, she said, 'Is it OK if I take Trixie the very gorgeous collie pup for a walk for half an hour?' Actually, she didn't say that at all. I was shut in the kitchen so I didn't even get to meet the very lovely Jack. What she actually said was, 'I've got to go out at 1pm. Can I just whiz the dog round the block whilst you're working outside?'

The 'very lovely Jack' did all the work in our flat first, but because he'd discovered loads of problems on the cables/wires/whatever in the two manholes he was faffing around in; he said that to repair them would take all day.

Ann went out just before 1pm and came back about 3.30pm. And then we both went to Aldi (obv I had to wait in the car) and then I went for a play with my ball in Fairmilehead Park and when we came home he was still there. He says he's got to come back tomorrow because the cables/wires/whatever are in such a bad condition that they all need replacing.

What we can't understand........... is why nobody else hasn't reported this problem before? Ann uses wifi to watch catchup TV but there's only one of her. There's at least three families with kids in our block of flats (and kids use wifi constantly) so surely they must have been experiencing problems.

Oh well, ho hum, we don't care. We have wifi again. My human is happy so that makes me happy!!!
