A Sunday Mirage

My plan for today was to drop my truck off in a neighboring city, and then have Lisa drop me and my kayak off at the river. My only concern in reaching my truck would be downed trees in the water, and spiders under the bridges. As Jim Stafford used to sing..."I don't like spiders and snakes..."

But...the best laid plans... of mice and men. It has been drizzling rain all day, and is rather unpleasant. Day plans...and Blip plans...flew out the window. What to blip...what to blip?

Maybe I could get a shot like Skip gets. A bird landing on her seed-filled hand. My only problem? I've stood and stood on my back porch...seeds in hand...and never got any action. (She must have nice kind receiving hands.)

So...while I do pay homage to Skip...HER SHOT'S ARE REAL!...MINE ARE SHOPPED!

My chickadee came from my wife's Kleenex box, but that is my real hand. The idea came to me when I woke up from an afternoon nap. I'm going to blame this picture on a nap-induced stupor. I just wasn't thinking clearly. You would think that pounding out this story on my computer would have brought me out of the stupor...but...so far it hasn't.

Hope everyone has a great week.
