17.5 Miles

Cycling today - Blairhall to Gartmore Dam and back - 17.5 miles. The toolkit was out twice in the first mile, but not needed thereafter thankfully (CyclopsJnr's pedal fell off, then we passed a cyclist with a puncture but no tools so stopped to help).
We stopped for lunch at "Dam Good Coffee" which was delicious, and then wandered round the reservoir a little. Lots of people out on paddleboards. We also spotted a molehill which was slowly growing - we've never seen that before. We had to resist the temptation to dig in to try to see the mole.

It was lovely to be out in the sunshine while Edinburgh seems to have been misty all day.

When we got home CyclopsJnr made Churros according to a recipe from cookery school this week. They didn't come out looking at all right, but were delicious! He also made chicken and mushroom risotto (with a bit of help) for dinner, which was perhaps beyond delicious and into epic. We'll be making that again!
