Brotipo

A big day out at the Fringe.

We got the bus into town and headed straight for our first show, Brotipo, at Assembly George Square Piccolo Tent.  A Canadian circus duo put on an simply lovely show with clowning, acrobatics and a bit of diablo.  We loved it and it was everything you could want - funny, charming and beautifully performed.

We had tapas at Cafe Analuz for lunch, before heading to Udderbelly for "Maddy and Greg's Wonder Games" with Maddy Moate (science presenter for CBeebies and CBBC) and Greg Foote (sciency YouTuber for kids).  It was great fun - built around four fact filled science theme games.  CyclopsJnr ended up on stage for the first one, having a paper cup "shot" off his head with a vortex blaster (see extra).  Later games involved mentos in irn bru, ziplining teddies, and lipreading facts...  CyclopsJnr was delighted to meet Maddy & Greg after the show and get a photo with them (another extra).

We wandered down to Pleasance to hang out between shows, where Cyclops had a beer (final extra) while CyclopsJnr made himself a Hufflepuff keyring in the kids art zone.

The final show of the day was Comedy Club 4 Kids, which was a fun compilation show.  Our favourite was Martin from the Circus Sonas but all the acts had something to offer.

By this time it was late so we got a taxi home and a quick dinner of salmon with rice, broccoli before bed.

What a wonderful way to spend a day!
