Blooming baskets!

What a venue! Our lunch spot today and we even got a stream-side table. So beautiful. Someone has been looking after this pub garden big time. I really hope it will survive the new drought restrictions coming in the next few days.

We’ve come to Surrey to check on our friends’ lodge. No hardship and it’s looking as good as they would like it. It was HOT inside but we’ve sat in the shade of the cherry tree and have read our books for most of the evening, with the distant unobtrusive happy voices of other visitors making for wonderful summer evening background sounds.
