Letting the light shine in....

Another beautiful day of glorious sunshine... eventually! I went for a run when it was still quite cloudy. Good move.

Then Valerie phoned and gave some very disappointing news. She will need a different treatment for her cancer. Her scan has shown it’s growing and no longer responding to the current treatment. Our days all together last week were wonderful and there was no clue as to what was happening inside her body. So a quiet day. We continue to trust for the future but today, it’s scary.

This afternoon Jean, Sam’s mum, had invited me for tea. We sat in her garden and talked about Sam, and Kathy, her mum. We looked at photos and shared memories. Sam’s funeral is on Monday.

I took Little Legs for her walk. She knows when we approach that home stretch whichever route we’ve taken and takes off with great focus.
