Windermere bursting at the seams

We had runs just before 1pm today. Water carried and just about survived the physical terrain in the heat. The challenge was to keep Jet cool. First a cool down in the stream then used an umbrella and clothes airer with towels to provide shade. Relieved it did his job very well and kept him cool.

As we set off back we were warned that the road to Hawkshead was gridlocked. We opted for a longer route back via Windermere. A quick phone blip as we waited to get through the lights. Queues for the ferries and lots of people enjoying the sun. Hope the rubbish bags are collected daily as they were not very slightly.

Very glad to be back for a cuppa and a soak in a cool bath.
