Early Start

We needed to refresh supplies for the rest of the week. We decided to pop through to Keswick for fuel and groceries combined with a short walk. As you can see it was still quiet the only downside was the cafes were not open.

Back to the apartment to abandon the car for the day. Fortunately there are plenty of walks which have tree cover. We took the Rydal Coffin road and then cut off to White Moss. Lots of families seeking water and shade. Managed a circuit of Grasmere before retreating away from the heat. The old boat house is being renovated and we were amused by the sign in the extra. The gates were on the road into Grasmere and another early morning photo of the rowing boats readying for a busy day.
