On the couch!

We had a massive day today to top off a massive weekend!

After yesterday's soccer carnival and late night Spence slept until 7.30 but unfortunately Joti was awake at 6!

Bron came over just before 8 to look after the kids while Kaz and I went surfing! It was fantastic! We ended up driving to Mudjimba which is about 35 minutes away because we had heard that the beach there is good for beginner surfers!

The waves up here are so different from down in Sandy Point where we are used to surfing! They are heaps more powerful here and you have less time to try and stand up before you are near the shore!

We had a great time though, the water was beautiful, there was a lovely island out to sea and some yachts with their spinnakers up were sailing past! I wish I had my phone on the beach to take a photo!

We got home at 11 and Bron had done the washing and hung it up, made and iced a cake and had mini chicken pies in the oven for lunch!! Spence was happy and Joti was asleep and had been for an hour and a half! It was fantastic!!

Bron left, we ate lunch then went to Golden Beach for a play and a swim! Joti loves the water and had a great time in it until she got a bit cold! Spence made sand castles and had a swim. I made spence and Joti a couch in the sand as you can see here!!

We went straight from there to catch up with Willow and her family who were fishing down at Bells Creek. They had had a big morning after everyone being at their house last night and not going to bed until 1am!

Just as we got there Greg was reeling in his line and let Spence do it. There ended up being a good sized whiting on the line so Spence was so excited that he had caught a fish!! He had a great time fishing and playing with the other kids!

It's been a fantastic weekend! Packed with so many outdoor things! This is exactly why we moved up here!
