What do you buy an 87year old for his birthday who has kinda given up and his only pleasure in life is reading Alexander McCall Smith books?
Yay! Guess who was doing a talk at Fringe by the Sea in North Berwick.
A lovely wee birthday day out for him and mum, top down on the Mini, whisked them to the seaside.
Sandy was on top form. I think I want to be him. What an erudite amazing speaker with such a humour pud take on life and a twinkle in his eye. A tonic indeed. We all enjoyed it, including my philosophy orientated daughter and even Richard smiled though the white wine may have helped.
Sat in the sun awhile afterwards and people watched the silent disco which is always entertaining watching go by, then R announced time to go home!
Mr Whippys we’re bought and home by tea time it was.
