Under the sea!

It's always an exciting moment waiting to cross the Channel, either under it or over it on a ferry.  We did the former today. 

We then had a good drive to our first port of call - the lovely Belgian coastal town of De Haan (first extra).  We're staying in an Ibis hotel on the outskirts of town which luckily has a lovely swimming pool.  There seemed to be no parking in town so we decided to walk in from the hotel - 40 minutes each way.  After lunch we walked on a bit further to the huge beach (second extra) before walking back!  We were exhausted and so hot when we got back and the pool was bliss!
