Happy Birthday Leo
We had a fun day celebrating Leo’s birthday. He had declared it too hot to go and do stuff so we set up the gazebo in the back garden and just had a chilled day instead.
We played Cards against Humanity which I have resisted buying him for an age because of some of the appalling language and content. But he had it as a gift for his birthday so we were all good sports and played along despite the dodgy content. We didn’t inflict that on Grandma and Grandad though!
It wasn’t unbearably hot so the shady parts of the garden were quite nice to sit in. Leo and his girlfriend had a water fight with the hose but I decided I wasn’t hot enough for that.
Leo also enjoyed playing whack the birthday balloons around the garden with the mop when he got carried away and managed to hit the balloon and then the lawn and snapped the mop in half! He doesn’t know his own strength!
He was pleased with himself after a morning trip to the gym and a bench press of 70kg but that doesn’t mean much to me as I still use pounds for weight and I have no idea what is heavy or not when it comes to bench pressing at the gym! Clearly his muscles are at mop trashing level at any rate!
We also had to pack him up ready for work experience. He is off on Monday to a hot London for a week with his Dad. He is planning on spending his birthday money up there when he gets some free time. They have also booked for the London Eye even though neither of them has a head for heights, They tell me that the fact it is enclosed will make it alright!
