Happy birthdays

The effort and planning of staff birthdays is worth every little bit of stress when you see faces this happy!

I was in early this morning to nip for a cake and finish wrapping. There were banners and candles in the kitchen drawer so that made things a bit easier (and cheaper).

Lunch was on me well, the business card but it dawned on me while I was setting up the kitchen that the main present for Janine was in the back of my car…..22 miles away (I’d taken Smartie today)!!
I had to make an emergency call to Mr A who very kindly rushed it over to me.
I announced his arrival by saying ‘the stripper has arrived’; none of the girls have ever met him before so it was funny to see their faces (and Mr A’s).

Janine (in purple) turns 40 on Friday. We got her some Vivienne Westwood earrings, Prosecco, and a few treats from Rituals.

Kinnari turns 30 on the 21st of July, but she’s off from tomorrow which is why I thought today would be perfect for a gathering and gift giving.

For Kinnari, we got her a bottle of pink champagne and a Rituals summer advent calendar that has 13 little treats in it, all individually boxed. She’s shown far more restraint than me and said she will open one box a day until her birthday. We also got her a Rituals candle which she said ‘smells like a sexy man’.

Was it the candle or my Mr A? ;-)
