Preparations

We slept in today. My legs weren’t happy with yesterday’s weeding position and let me know it all night. After breakfast, I started packing for the trip. First thing I grabbed was a trekking pole. It will look better than walking with a cane if my legs act like this while we are away. I have been collecting “stuff” for weeks so it was a matter of organizing, filling the 3 Oz bottles and pill cases and putting it all neatly in the suitcases. This is my first international trip since 9-11 and I don’t want to have any issues. Glad hubby told me about the 3-1-1 rule and other stuff. I am clueless. So relieved that job is done. I have several pounds available for souvenirs. I am taking the bare minimum; hopefully I haven’t forgotten anything critical. At some point, I was outside when helicopters were repeatedly flying overhead. Not sure what was going on. Wish I’d had my good camera out there. We have several kinds of dragonflies. They simply don’t sit still long enough to get a good shot. Hope to capture some of the more colorful ones when I have more time. The bottom pic shows my TWO tomato vines. They are huge and heavy with tomatoes. I bet they will ripen while we are away. My kids can reap the harvest when they care for the kitties. Hubby got a haircut and picked up the camper for its annual maintenance check up tomorrow. He helped me with a few odd jobs. That was our day. Easy dinner tonight so I may get to read a bit. If you are the praying type, you might want to send some up for a person who has seriously injured their foot. More info when I can give it. We need a rapid and complete recovery. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe. No news yet today. “When preparing to travel, lay out all your clothes and all your money. Then take half the clothes and twice the money.” – Susan Heller
