A nice quiet day, breakfast outside, picking raspberries, taking Jess for a swim, tea in the woods..
Last November, Samba Sisters played at Borders Reclaim The Night and some of the Sisters contributed to a textile piece about women killed by violence by embroidering their names. Apparently more embroidery is needed because there are so many women who have been murdered. The woman whose name I am embroidering today is Sarah Keith. She was 26 when she was strangled and stabbed by her boyfriend. I have been thinking about her all afternoon.
