Wade-ing

.... or perhaps more accurately Caufielding.

The local walking group headed to Calvine this morning to explore part of Wade's Way, although the actual work was overseen by Caulfield.

The member leading today's walk is also a local historian and it was really interesting to hear about the road in general and the bridges in particular, especially as I'd spotted him on Landward a few months back talking about this one.

We then headed over to Ballater for a last minute two night getaway. The hotel has just been done up and is most agreeable. We are now enjoying the prosecco which was in our room on arrival as part of the deal and fingers crossed there may be more reasons to celebrate this evening! Looks like tide has turned against the PM at long last.
