After all the hassle trying to get a desk, ordered and paid for in May and despite cancelling the order and expecting a refund a broken desk was still delivered while we were out! it was a pleasure to receive an identical desk, cheaper, from a local company, today, who assembled it for me too! I can finally get my home study/office properly organised.

Disorganisation continues in Downing Street this evening with the resignations of the Health Secretary and The Chancellor of the Exchequer. For a moment it seemed as if The PM was finished. In a rush to make replacements before the 10 o clock news shows was proof that the PM was blasting on regardless. But for how much longer …?

We had our local grandchildren to sleepover this evening so that their parents could go out for a birthday meal. We had great fun with an emphasis on STEM activities. Radioactivity and magnetism were centre stage. Their ingenuity and inquisitiveness is infectious!
