To the Sutors
Today we were up and out after breakfast to Cromarty.
Started off with an excellent coffee at the Slaughterhouse Cafe right on the shore, sitting at the window watching the tiny ferry arrive from over the water at Nigg. We walked down the High Street and spotted a lovely shop selling scandi and local items. I could have spent a fortune but bought a couple of things.
Headed down to the shore for the walk which was recommended by Fiona our landlady. It followed the shore through the trees, some uphill paths then into open countryside. We sat on a bench and watched a ship transport in a wind blade - I see they are constructing them by the shore. The walk took us a couple of hours and we were starving when we got back to Cromarty. The bakers was still open so scoffed one their lovely cakes, apple and almond, so good.
We the. Drove out to Channory Point to see if any dolphins were leaping around but no, only a lonely seal bobbing along. We did see some red kites on our way to Strathpeffer for our tea in the Deli on the Square. Was famished so had fish and chips. Then we had a wander to the big hotels again to check out their guest quota. Highland Hotel was busy with four bus loads.
Could have slept from 9 but stayed awake (just) till 945. All that sea air knackered me.
My 3k Blip it seems.
