Mist in da Sooth

Thick mist first thing, but slowly started to lift.  As the mist went up, the rain started to come down, and down, and down.  Calm all day.

Another early shift in the airport, and another day on the check-in desk.  Things weren't looking hopeful first thing, but the aircrafts finally started moving, and we got the people moving too.  There has been a lot of delays, but every flight made it in and out.  Reports came in from the Northlink ferry last night.  The poor staff there were running to capacity, with people sleeping everywhere.  Hats off to them for getting people closer to their destinations.  Popped by Laura's on my way home, and now a quiet evening at home, too rainy for walkies.

After 41 years on this planet, and island, you'd think I would be used to poor summers, but we still want sunshine.  This grey dull misty days do get you down, when they dragged on.  If it wasn't for the light nights (and no wind), you'd think it was winter today.  Pesky mist hanging over Toab, Virkie.
