Oh No, No Mist!

Mist hanging over the hills first thing, and got thicker as the day went on.  It finally started to lift and cleared by late afternoon, and evening.  Fairly calm all day.

Up early, dropped Sammy off at Laura's, and then headed for my early shift in the airport.  I've been working on the check-in desk all day.  Popped along Laura again on my way home, mam and dad were also along.  Met friend Julie for walkies this evening.  Watched a programme about Foula on STv tonight, then an early night.

That pesky mist has been a real pest today, causing chaos at the airport.  Every flight has been full, with the start of the summer holidays tomorrow.  The first four flights got cancelled, then then next four, with the last three flights finally getting in this evening.  The eight flights cancelled during my shift had about 300 passengers, which is a busy day for our small airport, and we had to find alternative flights and connections for each passenger.  Fingers crossed the mist stays away tomorrow, and we keep folk happy and moving.  A morning view of the mist coming down over Hoofield, taken from Blett Road, Cunningsburgh.
