Bananas ...

The weather today couldn't make up its mind. We abandoned the idea of a walk in the Pentlands, thought about the Water of Leith, eventually decided Saughton Park was our best chance of avoiding a soaking. 

When the rain came we took refuge in the glass house, where the bananas are doing well. 

The thunderous skies made a good back drop for the colourful planting in the formal garden. We were very impressed with the restoration of this large public park in West Edinburgh. TM used to play football with his cousins here (not in the flower-beds!)
