Summer's here! (I hope)

June 22.   It IS the first day of summer!    Not the best photo of our friends  but I had to record the first summer meal  (salad Nicoise)  on the porch (“dining pavilion “). The weather report was for big winds this evening but so far it’s wrong.  After dinner we went to our friends  ( who  are pretty remarkable for having these boating adventure at 87 and 81..for years they came in their sailboat that they built) ) boat to have a sip of a Canadian drink I have never heard of in all the years of coming to Canada.    Whisky with maple syrup.   Very tasty .  Extra…..   
And the sky was quite beautiful  (2nd extra) 

Report on the log from yesterday.   H tried several times before the tide was quite at it’s peak but no luck… HIgh tide was at 12.30am  and at 12:25 am he managed (by himself!)  with a rope and a long pole to dislodge it from our wharf as it was barely floating …  Love success!
