Wasp

The hedge around my garden comprises a variety of shrubs.   The wasps like certain shrubs and bees like another.  You hear the buzz and you stand quietly and watch.  The wasps go for the shrub  whose flowers aren't completely open, but they do get nectar.  The bees, on the other hand, prefer shrubs where the flowers are open.  Fortunately the Rose of Sharon is beginning to bloom so there (hopefully) will be a lot of action around them.  This is a wasp resting on a leaf taking a break from nectar gathering, and cleaning itself.  I'll go out shortly and see if there is more  gathering nectar.  Currently the hedging rose flowers are giving a lovely scent and bees seem to be going wild when 'drinking' nectar-wings beating and bees doing a 'dance.'
