Wow!

Today My friend and I walked the new Wow Trail at Whinlatter Forest, a well worth it walk.  It starts with a long hill which requires a few stops, for me, but the knee seems ok. The views come after this climb.  Seats have been placed where views are exceptional plus one which has an information board telling the Fell names and more.  Behind this board large blocks of stone have been positioned into seats.  Obviously the time has come to cut trees down and this has opened up the forest.  Part of the forest is called Hospital Plantation so called as there was once a fever hospital on Whinlatter.  The lake is Bassenthwaite from a different vantage point than usual.  Half way up Whinlatter from Braithwaite is a view point and this is where I usually take photos of the lake and Skiddaw.
