Our village but not as we know it …

Just as the Platinum Jubilee celebrations recede and the immediate heir to the throne hits the headlines for alleged anti government comments and his younger brother is embroiled in a new row about the sale of his £18 million ski chalet we ordinary folk go to the street fair!

It was sunny. It was very well supported after a two year absence. The Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire, was in full red ceremonial uniform representing the Queen. No one seemed to notice him as there were fairground rides, stalls, sideshows and a great sense of fun at large!

As I was on my way to the hospital, for my final dose of antibiotics, I did not have time to see as much of the fair as I would have liked. I know what to expect next year now!

PS I found out this afternoon that the installation at GRH (yesterday’s Blip) was a tribute to all the amazing NHS staff on the Covid frontline.
