Still life

As the sun shone and the temperature rose we headed to our local garden nursery inspired by advice from T’s gardening guru, Monty Don! Some of the things we wanted had either sold out or had yet to be delivered. I think that lack of delivery is going to be an increasing issue as road fuel costs continue to soar ( and are very sore too!) We would be very sad to see this small family run nursery cease trading. We are especially conscious that a mega garden centre is opening at the M5 junction at Tewksbury in the autumn.

In the afternoon I had my penultimate i/v antibiotic in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. It was very busy and I noted tiredness among many of the brilliant staff on duty. Too many patients and not enough staff.

This art installation was a distraction through the window as I waited to be seen. I will try to find out more about it on my final visit.

I listened to the Scottish men’s football manger on BBC Good Morning Scotland. He sounded downbeat. Losing 3-0 to The Republic of Ireland this evening was almost an inevitable consequence.
