Expert tuition

Today we said goodbye to our visitors but they came to ring again in the morning. It has been excellent to have such accomplished ringers in our midst. Four or five of them are members of the Ancient Order of College Youths which was founded in 1637. Membership is only by invitation and these are the best ringers in the UK. They are used for royal weddings and suchlike. Some of our learners were given more tuition and I was able to ring methods that stretched my abilities, methods which I cannot usually ring with our local band. For lunch, we retired to the garden of a local restaurant in the next village and sat in the shade eating an excellent meal and enjoying the views.
