Between fen and mountains

The neighbours' rose

Our neighbours are seldom there but the is still colour to be found around their house. I got the market shopping done quickly and returned for an early lunch anticipating a tennis lesson. However, this was cancelled due to the threat of rain. I was going to just play with one of the other players for an hour but he cried off as a few drops of rain started to fall. At least the French conversation group was not cancelled despite our resident Francophone not being able to attend. Fortunately, another French guy who sometimes drops in to the building to manage the computers decided to stay and chat with us for nearly the whole session. It meant that I did not have to lead the conversation. It is always a bit artificial when there is no French person there and the English speak French among themselves.
