"Such a beautiful horizon...."

After bidding our funky apartment farewell & putting our luggage in a locker for day, we headed on foot to meet the tourist sights we'd promised for ourselves.
It was quite a long walk to the Sagrada Familia but the sunshine & morning pastries helped us along with not too much exertion.
The park from which this photo was taken provided a sun-splashed bench that served as our very public nap spot for about 30 minutes... Thank goodness for the opacity of sunglasses lenses..!
We opted not to join the 50 mile queue for an inside peak & just walked, observing all the souvenir stalls along the perimeter of the, still very apparent, building site
We then headed to the Picasso Museum, where we were lucky enough to find ?20 on the floor & to both gain young persons' entry! (?6 for under 29's as opposed to ?14)

Another 50 mile queue surprised us when we came out & from there we sought out another Al Fresco dining experience. Pizza & Paella boosted our energy levels for luggage retrieval & the bus trip to Gerona airport.
I felt sad to be heading home so soon, as we'd had such a lovely time together.
It was nice to concentrate on each other & feel some heat on our backs. I also think it helped dissolve a lot of our tensions!

Alexander chose the destination & accommodation well & I spent a lovely time there with him.
