All Ready for the Morning!

Well my wetsuit is but I'm not sure I am! I put my pool thermometer in the river and it registered 6 degrees. The coldest I've been in was 11 degrees and I was numb with the cold.
I've got to be at the lake by 6.45 in the morning. There is nothing nice about this sport this time of year. I've done a few daft things in my time and this rates among the top. It's nice in the summer though. I've got to start training as I've got a few open water events to do this year....if I can pluck up the courage to do them. I did two last year and was a nervous wreck. This year my coach said he is going to give us time trials each month so I'm hoping that will get me used to it.

I'm doing a 5k sponsored swim next Sunday so need all the practise I can get.

I went back to work tonight It was nice seeing the children again. It will be a long day for me tomorrow as I've got to go straight to work from open water and work right through until the evening.

I went to bootcamp this morning like a good girl. So tired now though I think I'll be in bed very soon!
