Gardeners World

A morning visit to RHS Garden Bridgewater. We were surprised to find it much busier than we had expected - a combination of fine sunny weather and, it being a Tuesday,  free entry for Salford residents. I had forgotten about that until we arrived. Fortunately, it’s a large site so comfortable for us.

Two extras - a potential tiny Tuesday entry, but I decided not to use it as the image I have chosen is more representative of the place. And a view of the Welcome building. The buttercups growing in the meadows matched anything in the gardens themselves.

RHS Garden Bridgewater will have been open to the public for one year tomorrow, and has received 480,000 visitors. It’s an amazing achievement. Over the next ten years or so it will develop a lot further.

The constraints we have to place around our lives and what we can and cannot do got to us a bit today. But we’re in a much better place than a lot of people, so after some good chats all is OK.
