Rochdale Canal
Haircut time in Manchester City Centre.
Mine was sorted quite quickly, J’s is a longer process. Whilst she was having that done I had a circular walk around the City Centre. Regeneration and development is always unfinished business, and as usual there was a lot of construction going on. There is a lot of high rise residential development ongoing or in the pipeline, and a lot of new office development, as well as some big cultural developments ( the refurbishment of MOSI and The Factory). Despite the government’s urging for everyone to go back to the office, a lot of big employers seem to be moving to a hybrid model of part going in/part at home, with the balance of each being different depending on the nature of the business. It makes sense for employer and employer, but will have an impact on all those businesses who depend on lots of footfall. It’s a rapidly changing world.
This view is looking east along the Rochdale Canal. I liked the busyness of the image.
