More Things with Wings

This is a Waved Umber moth which I caught in the moth trap overnight - along with a few others including a Muslin Moth (extras) and 9 Cockchafers. I've been nowhere today. It was glorious weather so I decided to relax in the garden. Lots of Swifts flying over and in the late afternoon, a Hen Harrier drifted over and as we ate, we were serenaded by a Cuckoo. I thought I could hear a Bittern booming too, although it was pretty distant. And a year tick in the form of a Blackcap singing from one of the garden trees. Not too bad for going nowhere!
