Lettuces

The twelve lettuces I planted out in the frames are growing extremely fast with this hot weather. The increase in size is obvious daily. I did the market shopping and was congratulating myself how I can manage to get the new car down our extremely narrow street but I had not noticed a low metal bar sticking out of a wall which sliced my tire. Their followed lots of phone calls to try to get it fixed before Thursday when I need the car to go to Perpignan for a hospital appointment. Our trusty local garage said they could do it if they could get the tyre on time. I have made backup plans to borrow a car if not but it took the rest of the morning and some of the afternoon to sort everything out. I had my tennis lesson in the afternoon followed by French conversation. There were only four of us but we still found plenty to talk about.
