Living my dream

Mizzle

Yesterday’s sun abandoned us for the day and instead we have had intermittent mizzle.

The only good thing about it was the moisture which accumulated on all the cobwebs around the property. This is a group of webs coating thyme plants just outside the tunnel house.

Mizzle notwithstanding I spent a lot of the day outside, although I caught up with the avalanche of unanswered emails in my inbox first. (Surprise, surprise the sock-mending pile wasn’t tackled.)

I happened to be online in the final 10 minutes of Eurovision and was amazed to find it being live streamed. It was lovely to see the support for the Ukrainian entry. They were always going to win weren’t they?

The compost-shifting programme is having a hurry-up because I have bought some Potato Onion sets which need to be sown as soon as possible.

They have a similar growing habit to garlic, but bigger obviously. This is the first year I’ve tried them. If they succeed they will be used primarily for pickling. I love a pickled onion.

Bean has been under her blanket for the majority of the day.
