New Beginnings
Felling a little better today but still taking it easy ... still far from 100%. A long doze-in this morning then a bit of plant potting this afternoon before another ball field run for Meg and Bella. Jamie cooked tea and we had some still warm banana bread - a gift from Wendy - for afters. An early night now as Jamie's due to do Race for Life in Aberystwyth tomorrow. I should be fine to take him, just hoping his headache is not the beginnings of my virus :-/
These seedlings were not potted on today! Saxifraga oppositifolia, a British native alpine plant that can even be found on Cader Idris although I have yet to get up to the heights in March when it flowers here. It's common at high elevations in the Alps where I am often too late to see it at it's best when I go in June - an exception was in 2014 when I first stayed with Hilary. A cheeky extra pic from that day to show the flower power of this little gem. I'll be happy just to get it to flower at all down here by the coast.
