Viewpoint

Following the non-stop rain of yesterday it was a joy to see blue skies and sunshine, so I forgave the blustery wind!

This is the viewpoint from the top of one small hill where I regularly walk and while I have often blipped the view of the hills from here I don't think I have shown you the indicator and seats. The indicator has a round plaque - for want of a better word - on top which shows you, and names, the individual hills you can see all round you on a good day. It is a very popular focal point for visitors to the area but today it was as I prefer it as I had it all to myself. I love this spot for it has special memories for me as when my son was training as a pilot he flew over here in a Tucano on an exercise. He had been able to alert me ahead of time, so I stood on the hilltop as he flew over my head, waggling the wings of the aircraft! I was so excited and still have goosebumps thinking about it.
