Tweed Valley Wanderings
A day exploring the peaceful woodland at Dawyck Botanical Garden. We ate a picnic lunch amidst the trees and birds song. It was utterly tranquil. Some of the trees were laden with what looked like blossom but was actually lichen - absolutely stunning. This picture does do it justice but hopefully you can get an impression of what it was like.
Later we ventured to Peebles and Innerleithen to look at some of our old haunts, before returning home well and truly ready to sit down with a mug of tea and slice of apple pie.
So much green space and quiet compared to the crowded south of England.
